Ashe released her fourth studio album, “The Girl of Your Dreams,” on October 16 — an 11-track record that leans into cinematic, orchestral pop with a clear 1970s streak. It is her first album for Atlantic Records, and it reunites her with producer Noah Conrad, a longtime collaborator who worked on her earlier material.

The partnership matters to how the album sounds. Conrad helped shape some of the work that first drew attention to Ashe, and the two reconnecting gives the record a continuity with her past even as the arrangements reach for something bigger. Coverage of the release described orchestrations that recall acts like ELO and the Carpenters — a deliberately lush, widescreen approach rather than a stripped-back one.

The singles

The album’s lead single, “Stop the Wedding!,” arrived in August and became its calling card, surpassing 100 million streams and topping charts including the U.K. Spotify ranking and Ireland’s Official Charts, per the release announcement. A second single, “Funeral,” preceded the album as well, and Ashe shared a video for the track “Lasso the Moon” on release day.

Ashe framed the album as something she had been working toward for a long time.

“I feel like I’ve been trying to write The Girl Of Your Dreams album my entire life.”

She also described making it “from the most healed, actualized version of myself” — a note that lines up with the record’s confident, full-bodied sound rather than a more fragile one.

Marking the release

To mark the album, Ashe played an in-store performance at Amoeba Music in Hollywood on October 22. The event was structured around the physical release: buying the album on vinyl in the store earned a spot at the show and a limited-edition “Ashe — Live at Amoeba” poster. The store’s listing was explicit that it was a live performance only, with no post-show signing.

In-store shows like this one are a small but meaningful ritual in a streaming-dominated release cycle. They reward the fans who still buy physical copies, they give a new album a real-world event to anchor its launch week, and they put the artist in a room with the people most likely to champion the record. For an act whose work is built around warmth and intimacy, a record-store set is an apt way to send an album into the world.

Ashe has also announced a tour in support of the album, set to begin in February 2027. For now, “The Girl of Your Dreams” is out everywhere, with the in-store show and the new “Lasso the Moon” video serving as the first markers of a campaign that will carry into next year.
