Advertising Disclosure

Last updated January 1, 2026. This page explains how CelebWire may be funded and the firm line we keep between advertising and editorial.

Editorial independence

Our articles are written to inform, not to sell. The topics we choose and the conclusions we reach are decided by the editorial team alone. No advertiser, sponsor or outside party gets to influence what our explainers say.

How we may be funded

A publication costs money to run. CelebWire may be supported in the future through standard display advertising, sponsorships or affiliate arrangements. If and when we introduce any of these, we will follow a few simple rules:

  • Advertising will be clearly distinguishable from editorial content.
  • Any sponsored or paid content will be labeled as such, plainly.
  • If we ever use affiliate links, we will disclose it, and earning a commission will never change what we recommend or how we explain something.

What we will never do

We will not disguise advertising as journalism. We will not let a sponsor rewrite, soften or steer an explainer. And we will not publish fake reviews, fabricated endorsements or invented testimonials of any kind.

Current status

As of the date above, CelebWire publishes editorial content without paid placements. If that changes, this page will be updated first.

Questions

If something on the site looks like advertising and is not clearly labeled, we want to know. Email [email protected] or see our contact page.
